Atelier Arth is a place for reflecting on the relationship between space technology and society, and how to bridge the growing divide between the two.
Any technological application needs to be designed keeping in mind the end-user: the social and cultural challenges, which often cannot be overlooked when implementing a complicated albeit well-meaning technological system.
Arth comes from Sanskrit, which means “sense”.
Arth is both Earth and Art.
Atelier Arth's logo is inspired by the Assamese letter for the sound "a" : অ
In one sweeping motion, the idea portrayed is to preserve our Earth, our one home planet, by working in harmony with nature, of which we are a part, as humanity embarks on a fresh journey towards the furthest reaches of our universe.
Assamese-origin, Delhi-raised, and now a French national, Priyanka is an artist-scientist on a mission: exploring how sustainable systems design emerges from the fusion of art, science, and society. Through her art-tech studio, Atelier Arth, and her work at vorteX-io, she applies this vision to hydrological systems to advance water resilience.
A true global citizen, her work spans all seven continents, and beyond: her art has travelled to space twice - the ISS and the Moon. When she’s not designing for the future, she’s pushing her limits in the present through adventure, curiosity, and dialogue (in five languages).
One of her demonstrative art-tech projects titled Bhedadipika, spent a year on board the International Space Station in 2022, as part of the Moon Gallery project. Her second artwork to be sent to space, Brahmaputra by sunrise, is on Mare Crisium onboard Firefly Blue Ghost I, via the LunARC gallery (as part of LifeShip).
Hailing ethnically from the northeast Indian state of Assam, she grew up in Delhi where she obtained a bachelor’s in Physics from St. Stephen's College. Then she moved to France at age 21 to explore new horizons and cultures, while studying Engineering at Ecole-Polytechnique and finishing with a CIFRE Ph.D. on GNSS positioning from ISAE-Supaéro and Safran. Currently, she heads international development at vorteX-io, a French hydrological monitoring company, where she also led the EIC-funded WHYLD project on flood-forecasting.
Her work has drawn inspiration from her Assamese roots and her travels to all 7 continents, including Antarctica. She has won numerous awards such Forbes India 30 under 30 and L'Oréal Woman of Worth, ‘50 Years of Women at Polytechnique’, the Karman Fellowship, India Today’s list of Next 100 Innovators under 40, and is an Alumni Ambassador of the Embassy of France in India.
Imon Raza is a climate storyteller, designer, and educator who believes that the most powerful tool for change is a well-told story. With over a decade of experience, he works at the intersection of art, science, and ecology, striving to bridge the gap between complex data and human understanding. As an Assistant Professor at CEPT University and a PhD scholar at NID Ahmedabad, Imon is dedicated to reimagining education, introducing interdisciplinary courses that range from 'Oceanic Tales: Underwater Filmmaking and Marine Ecology' to exploring the critical link between Sports and Climate Change.
His journey is deeply personal. Hailing from Assam—identified as India’s most climate-vulnerable state in 2025—and having been a sportsperson himself, Imon carries a lived experience that fuels his commitment to the cause. This connection drives his pedagogical approach, where he uses innovation in design to turn environmental challenges into narratives that inspire meaningful action.
Imon’s work is often collaborative, climate and community-focused. He is the founder of Oronyo Games, creating multilingual board games that make conservation and climate dialogues accessible, and a partner at Atelier Arth, where he explores "space for society" alongside friend, Dr Priyanka. Together, they were awarded the Godrej Design Lab Fellowship 2026 to explore with data-driven climate storytelling. Additionally, the duo is actively working to strengthen Indo-France relations, fostering cross-cultural dialogue through art, research, and design.
A recipient of the The Water Seekers Fellowship 2022, Imon remains a humble student of nature, constantly seeking new pathways to imagine and design an eco-centric future for us all.
